Who this is for

huangetal.org is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a child under 13 has made an account, write to us and we'll delete it.

What we keep

• Your account: your email address, the names of the people on it, and your password, stored only as a salted hash we can't turn back into the password.
• How you play: when you open a game, how far you get, the choices you make, lessons you finish, how the game ends, how long you actively play, and any errors the game hits. We use this to keep your progress on your dashboard and to make the games better (for example, finding the point where people give up). If you play before making an account, this is kept against a random number in a cookie, and becomes part of your account if you make one.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer number, your plan and whether it's paid up.

Cookies

Three, all our own: sid keeps you logged in, pid remembers who's playing on a family account, aid is the random number above. No advertising cookies, and no other company's tracking.

Other companies involved

Cloudflare hosts the site and its database. Stripe takes payments. The game pages load fonts from Google Fonts and some code from jsDelivr, which means those services see your IP address when a game loads. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or for your account and play history to be deleted, by writing to privacy@huangetal.org. Cancelling a membership doesn't delete your account; ask if you want that too.
